Lancy McCall is a native Texan who grew up riding horses and rounding up cattle. Ranch life provided a wealth of experiences to share about barrel racing, pole bending, and a few scary stories involving coyotes and rattlesnakes.
A voracious reader, Lancy always harbored dreams of becoming a novelist. Her writing covers the same wide gamut as her reading taste, including sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, mystery, dystopian, and romance. Her nonfiction bookshelf includes biographies, autobiographies, and tons of reference and textbooks on information technology, project management, and writing.
A previous career in project management provided Lancy with lots of practice writing project documents, training manuals, and system documentation. Moving from technical writing to fiction has required a new skill set, which has been both challenging and fun to develop.
For her love of knowledge sharing, Lancy dedicates the Writer’s Hangout section of this website to other “newbie” authors who are just starting their journey and hopes that her experiences can help them find resources and/or encouragement just as she did.
